Help us improve access from Oughtibridge to Wharncliffe Woods. In 2009 the footpath that crossed the railway line at Station Lane was blocked up.

This now means that the only access to Wharncliffe Woods is via the railway bridge on Oughtibridge Lane. The bridge is dangerous, it's too narrow, approaches from both sides have blind corners, and cars drive too quickly.

It is now not safe for the people of Oughtibridge to access to Wharncliffe Woods on foot or by bike. These woods provide great facilities for cycling and walking.

We have established that there is an un-extinguished footpath at the location of the old crossing and we are now fighting to put a new crossing across the railway.
